Will the grade still be 7a if you top-out to the left by matching on the "good" hold (left hand in picture 4) and highstep left foot?

Hi Yoahn. I climbed the problem and remember the bloc had a hard second move and a very nasty top-out. The left exit I don't know.

Je ne veux pas jouer le grand décot(nn)eur de la semaine, mais sortie tout droit ou à gauche, c'est nettement moins que 7a. Sans commune mesure
par exemple avec "le magnifique" quelques centaines de mètres plus haut.

Cette arête, enfin, celle qui est en photo vaut 6a pas plus! Sinon, je ne connais plus ma force ni celle de ceux qui grimpent avec moi.

Il suffit de la comparer à ce qui se trouve autour comme Excalibur, le Magnifique,...

Ou alors, il faut faire exprès de ne pas prendre les prises!

Pour ceux qui le ferait en un ou deux essais, il y a par contre un bloc en face avec une traversée en toit qui est intéressante. Pour les accrocs de la cotation, on dira en 6b et 6c.

I think this is the arete that is listed in the 7 + 8 book as 7a. The arete that I climbed certainly felt 7a!
